Needing a break from the throngs of tourists, we walked to another island: Djurgården (Animal Garden). Four hundred years ago, this entire island was designated as the King's hunting grounds.
I love this statue:
Lady Working for Peace in the World.
It was commissioned by the Swedish Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War in collaboration with the Djugården Administration. She reminds us to continue to strive for a world free from war and violence...
Looking back at Stockholm from Djurgården.
The Norsk Museum - also in the Djurgården.
The welcome sign is posted in many languages.
