Fabulous Firenze-1


Thursday 17 August ~ Firenze!



Florence... like Paris, is well deserving of the hype! While there is much evidence of the Medici family's 14th century influence in this city, this is certainly NOT the same Firenze. Today, it is teeming with tourists (despite the heat), tourists of all shapes, sizes, ages and who speak many different languages. Today, we can enjoy the modern convenience of AC to take the edge off the otherwise beastly heat of August in this part of the world!
We are staying at the Hotel Pendini on Via degli Strozzi, overlooking the Piazza della Republica. 



 ... where we enjoy the daily serenade of a magnificent violinist. It truly is magical!
