So, on our first night in Florence, we decided to take an evening stroll, partly because the temperature had finally dropped to a cool 93 degrees! We walked to one end of a colonnaded walk - past bustling restaurants and shops that were closing up for the day. We then turned around to walk in the other direction. As we were coming to the end of the colonnaded walkway, Ned said, "Well, let's turn around. There doesn't seem to be much here."
Whereupon, we rounded the corner to see...
