On Sunday evening, our first night, we began with a lovely Prosecco Superiore. Heather prepared a lovely piccata and green salad. She also served tomatoes and basil from friends Walter and Suzanne Coppenrath's garden in Montisi accompanied by a very special mozzarella that they gifted us.

On Monday evening, Keith was the head chef. We began with a very lovely rosé bubbly with a beautiful label that I forgot to photograph. Keith prepared a scrumptious porcini and truffle pasta dish (that unfortunately doesn't photograph well...).
Tuesday, we went to the market in nearby Sinalunga (see next post). As we were able to procure trout salmon filets, Ann was designated head chef for the evening meal. The kitchen team worked well together - producing poached salmon, roasted zucchini and a green salad.

Wednesday, we invited Ann Armstrong, Walter and Suzanne Coppenrath for lunch. Stay tuned!
Thursday we go to Siena on an outing, followed by a concert at an abby in Sainvo on the way home. Planned dinner for Thursday evening is green salad with roast duck that we purchased yesterday at the market in Sinalunga.
Friday, we are going on a truffle hunt with a professional truffle hunter who will then prepare a dinner featuring our harvest and chingale (wild pig) for us at the villa.
Saturday we will be going to Montisi for a Contrada Festival and dinner, probably will spend the night at Walter and Suzanne's. They have 7 bedrooms, so beds aplenty should we not want to drive home after the festivities.
Sunday we will be going to Montepulciano... Chiesa di San Batimo... Montecino (home of Brunello wines)...
Monday will be our final day before starting the sojourn homeward on Tuesday.
