Koblenz

Wednesday 16 August ~ Andernach to Koblenz with Wolfgang and Marion

After lunch, we went back across the Rhine to Koblenz.






Koblenz is a charming city at the confluence of the Rhine and Mosel Rivers. This photo is of a square where the Jesuit school is housed. Perhaps the most impressive, however, was the Gothic and onion domed Liebfrauenkirche (5th century) - where we saw this beautiful Pietá.
