Well, it sounded like a good idea... When we went to the train station to pick up our tickets for "Norway in a Nutshell" we were told, "Just follow the crowd." That should have been a clue!

Spectacular train ride from Bergen to Voss 8:43-9:56AM |
From Voss, we were transported by buses down the steep hairpin bends of Stalheimskleiva to Gundvangen. Stunning!
Gundvangen |
It was like a blood sport to find seating, especially when it rained, and people moved indoors... /:

The historic Flåm Railway
Myrdal @ 866 meters above sea level (approximately 2700') is above the timberline with visible ice fields. Note the crowd (right).
Fortunately, most went back to Bergen while we traveled on to Oslo with some hearty backpackers.
En route back to Oslo, via Norwegian Rail, we passed many alpine tjonne (small lakes).
Beautiful landscape and nice trolls! The pub looks inviting as well. Hope you raised a toast there. And another train ride. What could be better. Hellos to Lena and gang. Hasta, Hattie
