Galleria degli Uffizi

Saturday 19 August ~ Firenze
Entry costs 12,50 Euros + 4 for advanced reservations (not required, but highly recommended).

The ceilings intrigued us. Below are just a few ceiling highlights (ha! ha! ha!)

Some of our favorite art was a series of virtues by Pollaiolo (1496), including Faith, Hope and Charity

Ned tended to like the bright colors, amazed that the pigments retained value for 500 years!

There also was an impressive collection of Roman art (circa 1st century BC). The marble carving of Ariadne was perhaps our favorite.

Exhausted, we headed for a sit down lunch!
